Dark Romance Styled Shoot
It’s the end on 2022, I came into this year worried, scared, nervous and all those emotions associated with starting something new. Becoming an event planner has been a blessing that I do not know how to describe. Yes, there has been some serious ups and downs but I take this year as my learning year and it will only be up from here one out. Working on weddings have been my priority however one of my favorite things to do is work on styled shoots. Let me tell you I decided to go out with a bang when it comes to styled shoots. This shoot brought together so many amazing vendors and we had a complete blast working with our absolutely amazing models: Aris, Hailey and Vince.
Spain Ranch located in Jenks, OK has two beautifully done barns one black and the other white. For this shoot I wanted to use the black barn and dive deep into the dark theme that I was going for. Décor and florals was a huge piece that kept me up at night because I wanted it to be perfect. I don’t know why I worried because Jasmine Ross Events and Decor came from OKC and more than delivered for this shoot. They brought in florals I have never seen before and it tied everything together beautifully.
You cannot have a shoot without food and beverages! Shenee from Berry Box Shop put together these elegant chocolate covered strawberries with exquisite details (yes I ate a couple at the end of it, lol) that everyone loved. Then you have the cake. When I tell you Sam from Sam’s Tasty Treats and Marissa Nance brought in two absolutely beautiful cakes they made themselves; OMG just stunning. Now you cannot have cake and strawberries without having something to wash them down with. Shannon with Event Staffing Tulsa was serving drinks that would knock your socks off. She came up with a custom signature drink for both the bride and groom that fit the theme PERFECTLY. Not only did Shannon do bartending services but she also brought out Dragonfly Road (Memories with Lucille)! I know you are reading this and thinking who in the world is Lucille? Well she is a vintage ‘71 Shasta camper converted into a mobile high resolution photo booth! Has all kinds of props you can use to make your photo-booth experience one of a kind.
It’s the little details that count, right? Well for the first time I had a DJ at the shoot and I tell you they brought the fun! Husband and wife duo Dana & Garett brought the energy and I loved it. New Skool DJ Productions is the DJ you want at your parties hands down! For the stationary and signs we have the astonishing Jessica with scissortail notions. When I tell you I loved the signage she provided. From the welcome and bar signs to invitations and RSVP cards she does it all and she always go above and beyond with her work.
The first model, Hailey, had hair and make-up done by an astounding team at Primp Hair and Makeup Studio: Ashlee and Heather. This duo is fun, down-to-earth and amazing to work with. Her dress was bridal provided by Bridal Rentals & More. If you are looking for a dress of any kind (bridal, prom, anything formal) Brenda has it.
The couple we worked with was Aris & Vince Gregory and I absolutely love working with them. They are the sweetest couple and you can just see the love in their eyes for each other. Aris hair was done by Shear Beauty Hair Styling owner Zoe. When I tell you Zoe knows what she is doing and does it very well. The MUA was SLK Pro Makeup and Hair owner Sunny. Make-up is one thing I have been working on and struggle with but Sunny makes it look so easy and flawless. Dress and tux was provided by Bridal Rentals & More for this couple as well.
I talked about everyone but the two most important people: THE PHOTOGRAPHERS! Charley with Modern Moments Photography and Monica with Simple Things by Monica took the most stunning photographs and I could not be happier with how they turned out. The fact that the got the vendors more involved and brought out the details in each photo blows my mind. Not only are they ridiculously amazing at what they do but they are so easy to work with. They seen the vision I was wanting to achieve and brought it out in the photos better than I thought. I know you have seen sneak peeks of the shoot all over Facebook and Instagram but check out the gallery below!!
